I was looking at the layers in this denim collagraph print yesterday and it reminded me that as people we are all very complex. We need to remind ourselves that each person is handling this difficult time in their own way. We need to give each other strength, encouragement and love to continue standing tall in the midst of uncertainty. .
Lately my prints are taking on new meaning for me, the places I saw everyday are no longer part of my daily routine. I miss the daily grind and grit of my beloved NYC. Like many, I have struggled with knowing what to say and post on social media. I’ve mainly posted things to help, be it links for kids art projects or other resources. During this challenging time when we feel isolated and alone, due to social distancing it is inherent that we keep in contact with loved ones, friends and colleagues in a socially responsible way. I have found using technology to communicate is helping. I miss the in person contact, but I know that we are #strongertogether . As a child I was an avid Mr Rogers fan so I will leave one of my favorite quotes to end this post. . “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, Look for the helpers. You will always find people helping.” -Fred Rogers I hope you are healthy and safe, please know I am thinking of you. 💙 Comments are closed.
