July 22- August 6, 2022
Opening Reception July 21, 6:30-9PM
Gallery@ AGI Denim
548 W 28th St, #530, NYC 10001
gallery@ AGI Denim is pleased to announce the opening of Exquisite Blue Towers, an exhibition of collaborative artworks that celebrate indigo as a color by artists Holly E. Brown, Juan Manuel Gomez, and Mauro Arroyave. The show will run from July 22 to August 6, 2022, with an opening reception on July 21, 2022 at 6:30 PM in gallery@'s Chelsea NYC gallery, 548 W 28 St #530, New York, NY 10001.
The artworks use towers to connect three cities: Biella, New York, and Medellín. During the creation process, the artists were inspired by the Surrealist movement of the early 20th century. Techniques to be presented include drawing, painting, and printmaking with Officina+39 Recycrom™️ as a medium.
gallery@ is the art-celebrating arm of AGI Denim, a B Corp certified leader in Pakistan's denim industry. The mission of gallery@ is to champion working artists by providing gallery and logistics support, including space, materials, and marketing.
Henry Wong, gallery@'s Gallery Director, says "For this show, three artists who share our deep passion for denim were selected to exhibit. Holly E. Brown, Juan Manuel Gomez, and Mauro Arroyave have brought their unique styles into the collaborative statement entitled Exquisite Blue Towers. We are so excited to share this with the world."

Meet the printmaker is an online event where you get to know everything about your favorite printmaker!
It's sort of an online meet & greet. The printmaker tells his / her story, after which I (Kirsten Peerdeman-Luijendijk, founder & owner of Atelier Indrukwekkend) go in depth with the printmaker. And last but not least, it is time for your questions!
Voor deze editie hebben we niemand minder dan Holly Brown (all the way from NY, USA) uitgenodigd.
About Holly:
Holly is an artist, printmaker and founder of Brooklyn, NYC-based studio, Clockworks Press. She creates bold, urban images that are hand-carved into collagraphs. Printing for the wall, garments, handbags and the home, Holly's iconic water towers and bridges have been featured in Pressing Matters magazine, the NY Post and at the Denim Days festival. Passionate about sustainability, Holly prints predominately on up cycled denim using inks derived from textile production waste. In addition, Holly is a Speedball Professional Relief Artist, teaches elementary art and printmaking workshops.
Get to know all about Holly and her passion for (collagraph) printmaking and more! And ask her everything you always wanted to know!
Details:
- 20 minute presentation by the printmaker
- 20 minutes in depth conversation with printmaker & host (if you want to have specific questions answered or topics to be discussed, send your question to [email protected] with the subject "meet the printmaker". I will do my best for you to get your question anwsered during this conversation.)
